The principles that shape how we work
These aren’t values written for a wall. They’re the operating principles that determine how every Augmint engagement is run.
Outcomes over activity. Always.
We measure our work by what it produces commercially — customers, revenue, margins — not by reports delivered, presentations made, or hours logged. If it doesn't connect to a business result, we're not interested in it.
Honest over comfortable.
We'll tell you what we see, not what you want to hear. If your current marketing setup has structural problems, we'll name them clearly and specifically. A trusted advisor is only valuable if they're genuinely honest.
Operators, not theorists.
We've built and run marketing functions ourselves. We know what a good briefing process looks like, what makes a hire succeed or fail, and what actually happens when you roll out a new tool to a team. Our advice comes from doing.
Independence protects value.
We have no agencies to recommend, tools to sell, or candidates on our books. Our independence is structural — and it's what allows us to give advice that's genuinely in the client's interest, not ours.
Systems outlast individuals.
The most fragile marketing functions depend entirely on individual talent. The best ones are built on clear processes and systems that work regardless of who's in the chair. We always build for resilience, not dependency.
Simplicity is a competitive advantage.
Marketing doesn't need to be complicated to be effective. In fact, the most effective marketing functions we've seen are the simplest ones — clear goals, lean processes, focused teams. We resist complexity for its own sake.
