Who we are

We're operators who got tired of

watching good businesses run
bad marketing.

Augmint was built by people who’ve spent their careers inside marketing functions — building them, fixing them, scaling them. We know exactly how things go wrong, and we know how to put them right.

We kept seeing the same
pattern — and decided to
do something about it.

Across industries and company sizes, we watched a recurring problem play out. Smart founders, ambitious growth plans, real budgets — and marketing functions that just couldn’t keep pace. Not because of bad strategy. Not because of insufficient budget. But because the machinery underneath the strategy was under-built.

Wrong people in critical roles. No clear process for how work actually gets done. Technology that nobody had been trained to use. Agencies assessed on pitch quality rather than operational fit. And nobody — not the agency, not the recruiter, not the consultant — with both the domain depth and the operator’s mindset to fix the whole thing together.

That’s the gap Augmint was built to fill. Not another agency. Not a theoretical consulting firm. A genuine marketing capability and operations partner — the expert layer that makes the machinery work.

To make something greater by adding to it. To elevate, strengthen, and build upon what already exists — not replace it.

The principles that shape how we work

These aren’t values written for a wall. They’re the operating principles that determine how every Augmint engagement is run.

01

Outcomes over activity. Always.

We measure our work by what it produces commercially — customers, revenue, margins — not by reports delivered, presentations made, or hours logged. If it doesn't connect to a business result, we're not interested in it.

02

Honest over comfortable.

We'll tell you what we see, not what you want to hear. If your current marketing setup has structural problems, we'll name them clearly and specifically. A trusted advisor is only valuable if they're genuinely honest.

03

Operators, not theorists.

We've built and run marketing functions ourselves. We know what a good briefing process looks like, what makes a hire succeed or fail, and what actually happens when you roll out a new tool to a team. Our advice comes from doing.

04

Independence protects value.

We have no agencies to recommend, tools to sell, or candidates on our books. Our independence is structural — and it's what allows us to give advice that's genuinely in the client's interest, not ours.

05

Systems outlast individuals.

The most fragile marketing functions depend entirely on individual talent. The best ones are built on clear processes and systems that work regardless of who's in the chair. We always build for resilience, not dependency.

06

Simplicity is a competitive advantage.

Marketing doesn't need to be complicated to be effective. In fact, the most effective marketing functions we've seen are the simplest ones — clear goals, lean processes, focused teams. We resist complexity for its own sake.

Senior operators.

Genuine domain depth.

Every person at Augmint has spent years inside marketing functions — not studying them. We bring the kind of experience that only comes from having made real decisions under real pressure.

Practical, hands-on, and always accountable.

We don’t hand over a report and disappear. Every Augmint engagement is designed around clear deliverables, honest feedback loops, and genuine accountability for what we recommend.

We work alongside your team — not above it. Our job is to make your marketing function stronger, not to make ourselves indispensable.

  • 1

We start with listening, not templates

Every business is different. We spend the first part of every engagement understanding your specific context before we say anything prescriptive.

  • 2

We tell you what we actually think

If your agency isn't delivering, we'll say so. If your hire was the wrong fit, we'll name it honestly. Clarity is more valuable than comfort.

  • 3

We build for your independence, not ours

Our goal is always to leave you with systems and processes that work without us. We build capability into your team, not dependency on Augmint.

  • 4

    We stay until it works

We don't close an engagement when the report is delivered. We track outcomes at 30, 60, and 90 days and stay accountable for the results we recommended.
